Government offers $5.7m to regional airlines for running costs

The Government will offer $5.7 million to regional airlines to help cover day-to-day running costs, ministers Shane Jones and James Meager said. The money comes from the Regional Infrastructure Fund. Individual airlines will get between $300,000 and $1.2 million, based on how many passengers they carry and flights they run each year.
