Roosters edge Knights 19-18 to win NRL grand final

Sydney Roosters beat Newcastle Knights 19-18 to win the NRL grand final at Accor Stadium on 4 October.

Newcastle, last season's wooden spooners, led 12-0 after Kalyn Ponga's 95-metre try. Mark Nawaqanitawase scored twice for Sydney. Captain James Tedesco won the Clive Churchill Medal as player of the match before 80,814 fans.
