Queen Elizabeth II's hairdresser calls role 'a very intimate job'

Ian Carmichael, Queen Elizabeth II's hairdresser for over two decades, told Woman & Home for its centenary issue that doing her hair was "a very intimate job". He said few people could touch the Queen in a normal way. He enjoyed her company and felt it was always an honour, but knew his place. She placed huge trust in him.
