Tom Kim wins Asian Games gold to earn military exemption

Tom Kim, 24, won Asian Games men's golf gold at Kasugai Country Club in Japan on Saturday. He closed with a six-under-par 64 to finish 18 under, three clear, BBC Sport reports. The win exempts him from South Korea's 18-to-21-month mandatory service, leaving only basic training of less than a month.
