Elne mayor renames René Vautier cinema to La Bobine Illibérienne

Elne mayor Steve Fortel has renamed the municipal cinema honouring René Vautier to "La Bobine Illibérienne", according to Deadline. Fortel said the change was for "neutrality" because cinema "should not be politicized". The new name translates as "the Illibérien Reel", a nod to Elne residents, Deadline reported.
