Capcom plans Resident Evil remake and new-game crossover

Capcom has a plan for a “crossover” between Resident Evil remakes and new entries once remakes catch up, executive producer Jun Takeuchi says. He told an anniversary magazine numbered titles carry the story while remakes revisit the past. Work tying the lines began around Resident Evil 7 and Village, with Raccoon City’s return in Requiem part of the preparation.
