Two-year Treasury yields post big September jump
Two-year U.S. Treasury yields rose almost 60 basis points in September 2026, Reuters reported, on track for the largest monthly rise since early 2023. A basis point is 0.01 percentage points. New borrowing costs more, new savings pay more, old bonds fall in price. I see a sharp reset in rate expectations.
