National Centre for Writing names nine translators for 2026/27 mentorships

The U.K. National Centre for Writing has selected nine early-career translators for its 2026/27 Emerging Translator Mentorships, Publishing Perspectives reported 30 September 2026. Each will receive six months of one-to-one guidance on literary translation into English. Emerging means no more than one published full-length translation. The scheme, founded in 2010 by Daniel Hahn, is in its 17th year.
