China Miéville shortlisted for Goldsmiths Prize with 1,200-page The Rouse

China Miéville is shortlisted for the 2026 Goldsmiths Prize for The Rouse, a 1,200-page paranormal novel described as 20 years in the making. Published by Pan Macmillan, it contends for the £10,000 award for fiction that breaks the mould. The winner will be announced on 4 November 2026.
