Protesters Press OpenAI to End ICE Deal at Developer Event

Protesters gathered outside OpenAI's DevDay, its developer conference, at Fort Mason in San Francisco on September 29 to demand it drop a contract with ICE, the federal immigration agency. Backed by more than a dozen groups, they chanted 'Sam Altman, get off it, put people over profit,' also criticizing military contracts and the environmental impact of data centers.
