Protesters Ask ChatGPT Maker to Cut Ties With Immigration Agency

Protesters gathered outside an OpenAI event for software builders at Fort Mason in San Francisco on September 29. Backed by more than a dozen groups, they demanded OpenAI cancel a contract with ICE, the agency that enforces immigration law, chanting 'Sam Altman, get off it, put people over profit.' They also criticized military deals and pollution from large computer centers.
