Light Pillar reaches Pingyao without China distributor

First-time director Xu Zao's Light Pillar is competing in Hidden Dragons at Pingyao, Variety reported on 29 September 2026. The Berlinale Perspectives animated feature still sought Chinese distribution at the time of that report, Variety reported.
