FIFA close to $125m Club World Cup payout for Europe's absent clubs

FIFA and European Football Clubs are close to splitting the $250 million (£185 million) Club World Cup solidarity fund 50-50, according to The Guardian. Europe's top-flight clubs that missed the 2025 US tournament would share $125 million. European Football Clubs had sought just over 60% before compromising. The fund pays out after ratification.
