Hugh Laurie joins HBO's The Trial of Louise Woodward as Judge Zobel

Hugh Laurie has joined HBO's The Trial of Louise Woodward, Deadline reported 28 September. He plays Massachusetts Superior Court Judge Hiller B. Zobel, who presided over the murder trial. The true-crime project, a limited series meaning one self-contained story, comes from creator Matthew Barry. It is Laurie's third HBO project after Veep and Avenue 5.
