Nandy floats extra BBC charge on Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has floated extra charges on Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ subscriptions to support the BBC, according to Deadline. The idea under discussion in charter renewal, the ten-year BBC funding deal, would extend the £180 licence fee to non-live streaming, Deadline reported. Ministers have ruled out a household levy on broadband bills, Deadline reported.
