Nathan Cleary has successful surgery on fractured left ankle

Penrith halfback Nathan Cleary confirmed on 28 September he has undergone successful emergency surgery on his compound-fractured left ankle. Cleary posted from his hospital bed, telling fans "I'll be back". The injury came in Penrith's 22-14 season-ending loss to Newcastle.
