Truecaller launches free Scam Checker to vet numbers and links

Truecaller has launched Scam Checker on web and Android. The free tool requires no install or sign-in. Users paste in a number, link or message text. It unpacks shortened links, traces redirects, and checks the result against Truecaller's risk database and ScamFeed reports. It starts in India, with Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, and Southeast Asia to follow.
