McNulty wins world road race with 30km solo in Montreal

Brandon McNulty won the men's road race world title in Montreal on 27 September 2026. The 28-year-old American attacked with 30km left on the 273.4km course and held off the peloton — the main pack — to finish in 6h 17m, 13 seconds clear. Australia's Michael Matthews was second, the Netherlands' Mathieu van der Poel third.
