12 Dead, Dozens Missing After Lake Kivu Boat Overturns

At least 12 fish traders died Saturday night when their boat, carrying over 50 people, overturned near Idjwi Island in Lake Kivu, South Kivu. About 15 were rescued, village chief Félix Habiragi said. Dozens are still missing. The vessel was traveling from Bwina to Boza, local administrator Muhindo Ntambuka Pascal said.
