Two Chengdu Pandas Begin 10-Year Stay at Zoo Atlanta

Ping Ping, a male, and Fu Shuang, a female — both born in 2020 at Chengdu's breeding base, a center that raises pandas — left Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at 2:55 a.m. Sept. 27 on a chartered flight, a plane rented for them, to Atlanta. They are on a 10-year loan to Zoo Atlanta under a China-U.S. government agreement.
