Court Clears Drumcree March on Garvaghy Road After 28-Year Ban

Northern Ireland's Court of Appeal lifted a last-minute court order blocking the Orange Order's Drumcree parade down Garvaghy Road in Portadown on September 27, the first in 28 years. The Parades Commission — the body that regulates marches — allowed 35 walkers, no bands, finished by 9:30am. Enforcement of those limits will set precedent for other disputed parades.
