Sully Sullenberger Enters National Aviation Hall of Fame

Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger, 75, entered the U.S. National Aviation Hall of Fame at its September 2026 ceremony in Washington, D.C., appearing by video. The honor follows his 15 January 2009 landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River after a bird strike — birds hitting the plane — shut down both engines. All 155 aboard survived.
