Gloucester beat Exeter Chiefs 45-24 at Sandy Park on 26 September to open the Prem season. The visitors led 26-12 at half-time and scored seven tries. Gloucester finished eighth last season with one away win; Exeter were runners-up after losing June's final to Northampton Saints.
