Chloe Gong told Variety a television adaptation of These Violent Delights, her 2020 Romeo & Juliet retelling set in 1920s Shanghai, remains possible. She said a project based on the books has been rumoured, with potential to move forward but no news to report as of the late August interview published 26 Sept.
