Barrera rules out Scream return while Spyglass controls franchise

Melissa Barrera said she will not return to Scream while Spyglass Media Group controls the franchise, in an interview with JustWatch reported by Deadline. She would consider a return only if rights moved to owners who honour Wes Craven's legacy more, Deadline reported. Spyglass dropped her from Scream 7 in November 2023 over Israel-Hamas posts, Deadline reported.
