South Africa Warns U.S. May Sanction the ICC as an Institution

South Africa's Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola warned Sept. 25, 2026, at a Hague Group meeting during the UN General Assembly, that the U.S. plans sanctions on the ICC itself — the International Criminal Court in The Hague — after sanctioning its judges and prosecutors. He said targeting the institution could badly disrupt the court's work.
