Steven Shearer wins 2026 Audain Prize worth C$100,000

Vancouver-based artist Steven Shearer has won the 2026 Audain Prize, Artforum reported. The Art Newspaper describes the prize as one of Canada's highest visual arts honours. The award carries C$100,000, about US$71,000, Ocula and ARTnews reported. The Globe and Mail reported it goes to a British Columbia-based artist.
