Hurricane Nolo to Brush Big Island Saturday as Major Hurricane

Hurricane Nolo was just over 200 miles south of Hawaii's Big Island Friday morning, Sept. 25, 2026. Forecasters expect tropical-storm conditions — strong winds and heavy rain — by Friday evening. Nolo should pass near or just south of the island Saturday as a major hurricane, with very powerful winds, then continue west without direct landfall.
