Nintendo reportedly rejected a Legend of Zelda spin-off starring Ganondorf pitched by Ubisoft Milan, the studio behind Mario + Rabbids. According to an Insider Gaming report summarised by Eurogamer, Nintendo rejected the prototype in November 2023. Neither company has confirmed the account. Reasons for the rejection remain unclear.
