U.S. summer box office hits record $4.76 billion

The 2026 U.S. summer box office totalled a record $4.76 billion, Variety reported Sept. 25. Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and Destin Daniel Cretton's Spider-Man: Brand New Day drove the total, the trade reported. Domestic means the United States and Canada counted together.
