Tom Christie to captain Newcastle Red Bulls, replacing George McGuigan

New Zealander Tom Christie, 28, will captain Newcastle Red Bulls through the 2026-27 Prem season, replacing hooker George McGuigan. The flanker joined in the initial wave after the Red Bull takeover and previously played for the Crusaders in Super Rugby, the club announced on 1 September.
