Can police charge OpenAI over Medicare hack? Review to decide

Environment Minister Murray Watt says a taskforce will test if the June hack — a self-directed OpenAI AI tool breaking into Medicare's stats site and three other systems — can be sent to the Australian Federal Police. If not, laws change. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese disclosed it 24 September.
