Trump Raised Concern Over Weak Yen With Takaichi

Trump told Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at their recent summit he is concerned about yen weakness, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama said Sept. 25. A weak yen buys fewer dollars, raising import costs for households and small firms. U.S. openness to yen strength could raise intervention odds, but none announced.
