Meta Teen Accounts Team Ordered Attorney-Client Privilege Hats

Meta's Project Nido team, which built Instagram Teen Accounts launched in 2024, ordered caps reading 'a/c priv,' shorthand for attorney-client privilege, a legal rule shielding lawyer communications. Plaintiffs in the teen-safety litigation call the hats evidence of a 'culture of privilege abuse at Meta.' Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers called some privilege redactions 'entirely inappropriate.'
