Bob Pettit, NBA's first MVP, dies at 93

Bob Pettit, the first winner of the NBA's Most Valuable Player award, has died at 93. The Basketball Hall of Fame confirmed his death and called him "a true giant of the game". Pettit won MVP in 1955-56 and 1958-59, made 11 All-Star teams in 11 seasons, and led St. Louis past Boston for the 1958 title.
