Tom Bateman Joined The Love Hypothesis Unaware of Its Star Wars Fan-Fiction Roots

Tom Bateman told The Hollywood Reporter he signed on to The Love Hypothesis without knowing it was based on Ali Hazelwood's novel. Hazelwood's novel began as Star Wars fan fiction for Kylo Ren and Rey, the latter played by Bateman's wife Daisy Ridley, The Hollywood Reporter said. The film premiered 23 September on Prime Video, according to Amazon MGM Studios.
