Warren Questions Lutnick on Removal of Political-Interference Rule

Sen. Elizabeth Warren sent letters to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and other officials asking why the department removed a ban on political interference from its scientific integrity policy, rules meant to keep science free from politics. Warren, the leading Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee, cited NPR reporting. Lutnick oversees the Census Bureau as Commerce head.
