Coogee Ranked Sydney's Most Faecally Polluted Beach Again

Coogee remains Sydney's ocean beach with the most faecal contamination, according to the 2026 State of the Beaches report. The annual water-quality survey covered 245 swimming sites across New South Wales, with 97% of ocean beaches rated good or very good. Coogee stands out as an exception in otherwise clean coastal water.
