Why Coogee Beach Has Sydney's Dirtiest Seawater Again

Coogee is again Sydney's ocean beach with the most sewage-related germs in the water, the 2026 State of the Beaches yearly check found. Testers looked at 245 swimming spots across New South Wales. Ninety-seven percent of ocean beaches scored good or very good, leaving Coogee as the rare dirty spot among mostly clean water.
