Ofcom investigates Pornhub owner over child access checks

Ofcom opened an investigation on 23 September 2026 into Aylo, Pornhub’s owner, over child access. The UK regulator says relying on Apple’s age checks may not meet the Online Safety Act’s requirement for “highly effective” protection. Ofcom says its own tests suggested children could still reach the site.
