Ofcom opens investigation into Pornhub over child access

On 23 September 2026, Ofcom opened an investigation into Pornhub owner Aylo over concerns children can still access the site. The regulator says Aylo's reliance on Apple's age verification may not be "highly effective" as required under the UK's Online Safety Act. Its own checks indicated children could gain access.
