Judge pauses deportation of Venezuelan man shot by ICE in Texas

A federal judge temporarily blocked deportation of Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, 28, the Venezuelan man shot by immigration agents in Texas. Judge Orlando Garcia set an in-person hearing for September 30 after lawyer Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch sought a restraining order, a pause on removal. His lawyer says he cannot be removed before then. Homeland Security says it is investigating the shooting.
