Mexico Sets National School Phone Ban From Nov. 3

Mexico will bar elementary and secondary students from using cellphones during the school day starting Nov. 3, President Claudia Sheinbaum announced. Emergencies are exempt. The federal rule builds on bans already in place in 16 states, which schools must now align with national standards.
