Guterres Links AI, Climate and Conflict Ahead of 81st UN Assembly

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned of three existential threats — threats to humanity’s survival — including uncontrolled artificial intelligence and the climate crisis, in remarks published Sept. 17, 2026 ahead of the 81st General Assembly. In my view, he wants governments to handle AI, climate and war-peace talks together, not in isolation.
