Nexstrom raises $12M to bring 2D chip materials into factories

Nexstrom raised a $12 million seed round from Xora, Foothill Ventures and SEEDS, bringing total funding to $15 million. The Singapore startup, incubated by Xora Innovation, makes equipment and processes to grow transition-metal dichalcogenides — ultra-thin semiconductor layers — directly on chip wafers for use in commercial foundries.
