Sri Lanka Convicts 14 in 2019 Easter Bombings Case

Sri Lanka's High Court convicted 14 of 24 people charged with murder and planning terrorism in the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed 279. A panel of three judges issued the verdict Sept. 22, 2026, after a five-year trial. Sentencing comes later, and that plus remaining cases will show how far accountability reaches.
