Douglas book puts Shearer–Crawford feud above Crawford–Davis

Illeana Douglas's Jungle Red! The Making of MGM's The Women presents the Norma Shearer–Joan Crawford rivalry as surpassing the Bette Davis–Joan Crawford feud, SGN reported. It was published Sept. 15 by Lyons Press, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Crawford resented Shearer getting most plum roles at MGM, Newsday reported.
