Polymarket Pushes EU and UK to Treat It as Finance, Not Gambling

Polymarket has spoken to the European Commission, the EU markets regulator ESMA, and UK Financial Conduct Authority chief Nikhil Rathi about being regulated as a financial-services firm under MiFID, the EU investment rulebook, rather than as gambling. The New York prediction market currently needs gambling licences in EU countries.
