US eyes cheaper Belarus potash over Canada

Trump said Sept 21 on Truth Social the US is pursuing a large potash — key crop fertilizer — deal with Belarus at far lower prices than Canada. He said it would help US farmers and ranchers. The US imports most of its potash, 79% from Canada in 2024, according to US Geological Survey.
