New Found Glory Founding Guitarist Chad Gilbert Dies at 45

Chad Gilbert, founding guitarist for pop-punk band New Found Glory, died Sept. 20 at 45. Treated since 2021 for metastatic pheochromocytoma, a rare adrenal-gland cancer that had spread, he told People in April that three brain tumors led to stage four adrenocortical carcinoma, outer adrenal-gland cancer. He had brain surgery. His family said he died peacefully in his sleep.
